When I first moved into product leadership, I was surprised by how satisfying it was to coach, mentor and support others in doing good product work. Helping my team succeed quickly became more rewarding than doing the hands on work myself.

After 12 years in house, I decided to move into product consulting and coaching, in order to support others on a bigger scale and work with a diverse range of people, products and industries. So far it’s been more rewarding than I could have imagined.

The strong shift towards remote work has enabled me to work with teams around the world and it has been really interesting to work on so many different challenges, while finding surprising patterns across different industries and organizations. And as a bonus, I hopefully will never again have to write a JIRA ticket or look at a Kanban board 😉
